Vintage Vinyl, Silver, Tools and other Oddities

These are some items I found at an auction Saturday night.   I now have more Beatles albums than I ever did when I was younger.  Wish I still had those Yellow Submarine stickers that I pulled out of the cereal box.  I think they were in Alpha-Bits cereal.
Black Sabbath,  Rolling Stones, The Byrds, The Who
Beatles
During the auction one of these books was called a Genealogy book but if you look closely it is actually a Gynecology Text Book.  I especially like the Esso Co-Pilot booklet.

Felipe Martinez Piedra Y Plata Taxco Mexico Necklace Set

Felipe Martinez Jewelry

Sterling Silver and Artist Marks

Onyx Links
This Felipe Martinez set is probably from the 1950s and made in Taxco Mexico.  It is one of my favorite jewelry sets.  The necklace is choker style.  There is a matching bracelet and screw back earrings.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The 8th Dimension

I loved this movie. Had the biggest crush on Lewis Smith.  I don't remember CED players.  Of course we were too poor for cable and video players. I like the idea of a movie the size of an album.   Just like albums the essence of the film is felt by the images printed...or maybe it's just seeing Peter Weller with hair.  This is truly all things 80's including skinny ties and red shoes. Anyway I'm still waiting for the sequel.

Vintage Fashion Ads and Pattern Magazines

1960s Wrap Skirt

1963 Teen Dress and Jacket Pattern

1960's Wrap Dress...Big hair optional

When I use to sew I loved using vintage patterns.  These are a few I have collected. The magazine clippings and ads are from an estate sale in Marietta, GA.  Fashion can provide a history lesson.  Not only are these patterns reminders of Jackie Kennedy but are memories of my mom when I was a child. She even had a few partial wigs which I loved to play with and wore to a few costume parties.

Justin Wilson, Bobby Sherman, Dean Martin Albums

Justin Wilson

This week while I was out picking, I came across a funny group of albums.  I'm am really disturbed by this Justin Wilson album mainly because I don't understand why anyone would let him wear those tight fitting red polyester pants.  I guess the album title says it all.

I also found these two heart throbs

Suggestive Album Cover

I found three albums dedicated to the trucking industry as well as the original Okie from Muskogee.

He is such a flirt

Can't be in Georgia and not find a Georgia Bulldog.....don't get the Nashville Connection though.

And here are some items I may take to the Whitlock Ave Market on saturday.
This is a homemade wheel barrow from a Gainesville farm.  Also I have two chicken feeders and a folk art feeder by a Buchanan local.  Nancy Drew, a Telle M. Stein cat will be there also.

This is all I have for now.  I'm hoping to set up for the Whitlock Ave Market (Whitlock Ave, Marietta, GA in front of  One of a Kind Antiques) this weekend.  If it is not cancelled for the holiday weekend I will be bringing an old homemade wheel barrow and some chicken feeders .
