The Atomic Chick Has Flipped Her Wig
My Martha Washington Costume from 1970s |
My friend recently found these groovy ash blond and brunette wigs for me at an estate sale. I remember in the 70s my mother wore a partial wig to add volume to her hair. It was a brunette wig with a lot of volume on top and long ringlets. I ended up wearing that wig to a costume party. I was a young Martha Washington. I still have the purple dress. It wasn't fun getting on the floor and rolling a peanut with my nose in this costume. My reward was a delicious Baby Ruth candy bar.

Todays Flea Market Finds
My husband Dan & I played our own version of "Picked Off" today at the Flea Market. These are my finds. Dan returned home empty handed so I clearly won. There are several sterling silver jewelry pieces. I got a free squash with the Mad Magazines & Egg Cleaner Bucket purchase. This vendor gave me some home grown jalapenos and tomatoes last week.

Vintage Vinyl, Silver, Tools and other Oddities
These are some items I found at an auction Saturday night. I now have more Beatles albums than I ever did when I was younger. Wish I still had those Yellow Submarine stickers that I pulled out of the cereal box. I think they were in Alpha-Bits cereal.
During the auction one of these books was called a Genealogy book but if you look closely it is actually a Gynecology Text Book. I especially like the Esso Co-Pilot booklet.
